ABG Scaffolding has been trusted by Red Bull Racing to provide access for the team’s new wind tunnel build, alongside the scaffolding for the annual shutdown works at their existing facility.
Wind tunnels are among the most demanding environments we work in. Complex shapes and geometry, as well as restricted working areas and sensitive, high-value equipment, mean every scaffold has to be planned and built with precision.
Our work for Red Bull Racing includes:
- New wind tunnel access: Complete access scaffolding for the construction of the new facility, designed around the structure and adapted as the build progresses.
- Annual shutdown works: Each year we return during the planned outage to erect, adapt and strike scaffolds within a fixed window, so other trades can start and finish on programme.
- Paint restoration access: Internal platforms and designed scaffolds that give painting and restoration teams safe, stable access to every surface.
- General repairs and maintenance: Bespoke access for repair and engineering works in confined and delicate areas.
Shutdown periods leave no room for delay. Our team plans each scaffold and works to demanding programme deadlines, so the facility is handed back ready to run.
As with all our projects, scaffolds are designed and quoted using SMART Scaffolder, giving the client 3D drawings and a full breakdown before work begins. All bespoke design is carried out in-house, which keeps project details controlled and private from start to finish.
