The last 18 months have led to a whirlwind of change across the country and of course, around the world. Adapting to the global pandemic has been a wake-up call to businesses of all shapes and sizes, not just in 2020 but even still throughout this year in 2021.
Following the initial halt to most projects and budgets as we all waited to see how everything was going to develop following national lockdowns, the further restrictions as well as the strain on the NHS, we as a business were lucky that the majority of projects and contracts that took place outside started back up. This was due to the construction industry being able to open and pick back up.
Just before the pandemic hit, we launched our new website and were just getting started on exciting projects with commercial clients including the likes of Red Bull Racing, Paultons park, and more. Since getting back to it after COVID, we’ve been busy with our bread and butter domestic projects both in the local community and throughout the south coast.
One thing the pandemic reminded us of is what a brilliant set of workers we have, who were able to adapt to a different way of working, following all safety protocols, being even more cautious, and caring with clients on-site.
We were even able to spend some extra time at the ABG yard to tidy, restock and get everything ready for what was a busy end to the year and an even busier first half of 2021. With that, we are delighted to announce a new contract has been signed and awarded to the business with the leading South of England water supply and wastewater treatment provider, Southern Water. We are already working on a variety of projects for the client across the south coast, reacting fast to call-out requests, and have been working on heavy-duty lifting frames for pipe repairs and much more.
With the threat of the pandemic still present, we’d like to first and full most thank all of the incredible keyworkers & NHS staff who have worked and continue to work so hard to care, support, and vaccinate the country. Secondly, our staff who have been patient and then available to work hard on all projects throughout and finally, our customers old & new for keeping us busy and allowing us to keep growing.
Across the board, we’ll continue to build reliability, because we are ABG.
