ABG are delighted to have been appointed to provide scaffolding on Serpent’s Curse, the new water coaster now under construction at Paultons Park in Hampshire.
The UK’s first water coaster, Serpent’s Curse, is a custom-built MACK Rides attraction and one of the biggest rides Paultons Park has built to date. It is due to open in 2027 as part of an extension to Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, the Viking-themed world that opened earlier this year.
Our longstanding relationship with Paultons Park
ABG first started working with Paultons Park in 2017, so we are now coming up to a decade working alongside the Park. Over that time, we have completed works at Peppa Pig World, Wave Runner, Tornado Springs and Valgard: Realm of the Vikings.
For Serpent’s Curse, we are providing both external and internal access scaffolding. The internal access is fully suspended, with external edge protection, and requires several adaptations due to the site’s awkward and complex nature. Our in-house scaffold designer designed the works, and multiple ABG teams are being deployed as required throughout the project.
We started on site in July 2026 and expect to remain involved as the build progresses. We are also carrying out edge-protection works to support solar-panel installation around the Park.
“Having worked with Paultons Park since 2017, it is a relationship we really value. To be trusted with another major project and one as significant as Serpent’s Curse, it means a great deal to everyone at ABG. Our team is proud to play its part in bringing another standout attraction to the Park.” – Ben Carr, Director, ABG Scaffolding
Serpent’s Curse is due to open in 2027, and we’ll share more from site as the build progresses. In the meantime, take a look at our previous work at Paultons Park, or if you have a commercial project of your own in mind, request a quote.
